Welcome to Heath Farm in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds.

Five award-winning luxury self-catering holiday cottages lovingly converted from old stone farm buildings set in 70 acres of meadow and woodland. An exquisite and tranquil base for exploring the Oxfordshire Cotswolds.

These very individual stone cottages offer guests the ultimate in comfort, quality and cleanliness and a chance to enjoy the high standards of craftsmanship which is the hallmark of this idyllic retreat.

Furniture and fittings have been built by Cotswolds craftsmen in English hardwoods, much of it from the farm’s own trees, and a local blacksmith has been commissioned to create imaginative ironwork to enhance many of the doors, windows and the open fireplaces. Floors are slate, terracotta or wood and soft furnishings are in natural materials.

Strip A

The courtyard with its gracious terraces, intimate herb borders and magnificent views is generously provided with seating areas where guests can relax in peace and tranquility among lavender, flowers and the sound of running water.

Beyond the courtyard and gardens you can enjoy croquet and garden games, bbq’s, picnics, and walks. An enchanting hideaway, Heath Farm offers a wealth of natural interest in all seasons: The woodlands and wildflower meadows are host to rabbits, hares, badgers, squirrels, roe deer and muntjac as well as a good variety of birds. In summer, wild cherry plums growing in abundance and in autumn, nut bushes galore provide rich pickings for wildlife and visitors alike.

Strip B

In winter, enjoy the crisp frosty mornings, mulled wine in a local pub, cooking up a gourmet feast in your well equipped kitchen or simply relaxing in comfort before an open fire.

Heath Farm is ideally placed for exploring the beautiful  villages and historic towns of The Cotswolds with plenty of cultural and leisure activites to be found in Oxford,  Stratford and even closer by in Chipping Norton and Banbury. If you prefer shopping you can take a trip to popular Bicester village.  Visit our ‘Things to do places to visit‘ page under ‘location’  for more details on our area.   With convenient access to the M40 we are only an hour and a half from London, an hour from Birmingham so it’s easy to get away from it all and enjoy a beautiful piece of the English countryside.

David and Nena Barbour with their family have spent over forty years making Heath Farm what it is today. They look forward to welcoming you to share what they have created.
