Produce table

When we have surplus crops guests are welcome to share, you’ll find this on the produce table which is located on the left at the very start of the entrance to the courtyard. If the table is empty do please ask otherwise. Any donations received will be given to charity.

Vegetable garden

The family are keen gardeners who have a large garden which produces an abundance of fruit and vegetables such as strawberries, raspberries, potatoes, leeks, carrots, artichokes, cabbage, lettuce, peas. and beans. This is also where flowers are grown to pick for our guests. Inside the poly tunnel we grow grapes, tomatoes, padron peppers, cucumbers and chillies.

The Pond

Built over 25 years ago, tapping into natural springs in the hillside the pond encourages wildlife from herons, geese and ducks to the occasional kingfisher. Enjoy the views of the cottages reflected in the water as part of your walk or whilst stopping for a picnic.

The Chicken Run

Our chickens roam free in a large enclosure in the woodlands apposite the vegetable garden. Fed on a well-balanced diet of feed and food leftovers from our house, they produce lovely golden yoked eggs far superior to your standard “free range”.

The Animal Fields

We have a small holding of sheep, goats, chickens, geese plus the family dog Poppy. The farm animals will often be seen from your cottage window grazing and lazing in the field below the cottages or behind the bakers and farm buildings.
