Chestnut on the ground floor of the main converted barn is spacious and luxurious for two people. Its calm and tranquil atmosphere together with it’s own private garden with sunken hot tub and stunning views plus direct access out on to the sun trapped terrace leaves guests feeling deeply refreshed and restored.
Access to Chestnut is either down brick and terracotta tiled steps leading to a small tiled outside area with solid stone slab bench or alternatively you can take the wheelchair friendly pathway which curves around the private gardens and leads to the front door.
From the front door, a small lobby leads into the solid oak kitchen. You then pass through beautiful solid ash double doors set in a wooden screen to reach the comfortable living and dining area. An unusual open fire, exposed joists and beams and African slate floor make this a most sumptuous apartment. A large sofa bed is available for additional use.
Relax in armchairs in front of the elegant oak-framed French windows or step straight out in to the sun trapped courtyard where you’ll find your own seating area nestled between the potted Lemon tree and Hydrangea.
The bedroom, through a curtained wooden archway features a curved window seat and reading table with a lovely view of the pond and Cotswold valley beyond. There are internal wooden shutters which makes your sleeping area feel secluded and calm. The luxurious ensuite bathroom features oak panelling and African slate floor. It has a spacious walk in shower.
The private garden is split into two tiers which are wheelchair friendly with ornate brickwork, woven hazel hedges, LED lighting and stunning views. The lower garden has Chestnut hardwood benches with back supports and a chiminea to keep you warm at night whilst star gazing. The upper garden has a sunken hot tub and circular mosaic table and chairs.

Supplies tea towels and hand towels, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll, clingfilm and foil, pepper salt and herbs, starter amount of Fairtrade tea, coffee (plus compostable coffee pods) and sugar.

Luxurious bathroom with walk in shower, raised height toilet and African slate floor.
Supplies: shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, body wash, Epsom salts, toilet rolls, cotton wool, plasters & bathmat.
There are clothes washing and drying facilities on site in laundry room approximately 40 meters away.
Cots, highchairs and stairgates available on request at no extra charge.

Where possible, goods are bought from Ethical suppliers. Toiletries are Faith In Nature range. We supply the cottages with environmentally friendly washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, hand soap, bathroom and toilet cleaners & washing powder from the Ecover & BIO D range of green products
