“At Burford, we love things that are a little different. That is our style. Maybe not cutting edge, but well designed, well made, always beautiful, or else useful, a little quirky, original and individual. It has to be different, be it old or new.”
Burford Garden Company has grown into a one-of-a-kind destination store for those seeking a unique, curated mixture of plants, gardenalia, home decor, furniture, art, clothing and food to reflect their individual style. For over ten years Burford Garden Company developed a unique Social Enterprise partnership with Aspire Oxford, a charity which works to tackle homelessness and disadvantage in the community. Burford Garden Company as the lead patron of Aspire provided more than a decade of mentoring, management and financial support for the charity. They provided and managed a non-for-profit two-acre Heritage Kitchen Garden at Burford itself, where, over the years, Aspire’s ‘service users’ were rehabilitated and encouraged back in to a stable working environment and trained by them in gardening skills, all under their direction and all provided free of charge by Burford Garden Company.
